Gold miner, accomplice slapped with fraud charges involving $6M in Mercury

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men facing separate fraud charges were today released on $250,000 bail each by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine – Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Forty – two – year – old Andrew James of 55 Village, Corentyne Berbice, pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that between October 20 and November 1, 2013 at Georgetown, being solely entrusted with two flask of Mercury valued $4M, belonging to Delmar Walcott, he fraudulently converted same for his own use and benefits.

Meanwhile, 29 – year – old Gold Miner, Johnny Harris of Lot 5 Now or Never, Mahaicony also denied the charge against him. The allegation stated that between October 20 and November 1, 2013 at Georgetown, being solely entrusted with one flask of Mercury valued $2M by James, to keep in safe custody and return to him, he fraudulently converted same for his own use and benefits.

The complainant told the Court that he does do want a Court case in the matter, instead he wants his money.

Bail was granted and the matter was adjourned to November 14.

Gray we all share diffrent views, do not try to start any war with me, i will agee with you on many of your coments , lets just say the law,,,,less is for the poor only ,the other tax thief LARGE not big, but lets wait and see if any or what will come out of the story, it my just be another front page issue.   2. fraud is fraud..these two on 250000 bail while another tax fraud criminal on self bail…where is Andrew the clown blogger on this now..
