The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) has launched its first-ever Hinterland Internship Programme, a landmark initiative aimed at expanding GNBS’ presence and services across Guyana’s hinterland regions while creating valuable opportunities for youth.

Through this programme, students and young professionals will gain practical experience in technical and administrative work at GNBS Sub-Offices under structured supervision. The initiative also seeks to strengthen operations in the hinterland, increase awareness of GNBS’ services, and help develop the next generation of skilled professionals.

Internships will run for approximately 2–3 months (six weeks per phase), providing participants with meaningful workplace experience and professional development.
