Giftland donates to Cancer Institute of Guyana

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Giftland has donated $50,000 to the Caner Institute of Guyana as part of its new tradition – Valentines White Rose Cancer Awareness.

The Company donated white roses to the nursing team and doctors of the Cancer Institute for their hard work taking care of cancer patients. Food, mini-teddy bears, blankets and towels were also donated.

“These gifts will assist patients with their treatments and help them with some basic needs,” the Company said in a media release.

Dr. Ghazi, Director of Guyana Cancer Institute said, “this is the first time a corporation has stepped forward to assist the Institute;” he also welcomed more such gestures from Guyanese.

Andrew Ballenthin, Giftland’s Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer noted that this is the beginning of Giftland’s monthly ongoing program to provide further support to the cancer patients of the Institute.
