[www.inewsguyana.com]Guyana Defence Force Private, Abiola Jacobs stood in Court with her arms crossed and tears in her eyes, as she was remanded to prison for the brutal murder of 55 – year – old Donna Taylor.

Jacobs, of 55 Evans Phillips Park, Agricola was unrepresented and was not required to plead to the indictable offence of murder before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine – Beharry on Wednesday, February 5.

The particulars of the charge were not read in Court. She was remanded to prison until February 26.

The cause of death of Taylor, who was found aback her Agricola home with her throat slit and hands bound has been given as shock and haemorrhage due to multiple injuries.

The is the official results of a  Post Mortem Examination that was carried out on the body by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh on February 3 according to police reports.

Taylor was murdered on January 31 while her overseas based friend Samatha Sabat was injured after she jumped from the window of the two storey house when persons invaded the lot 1617 Agricola property.

Sabat, a citizen of the United Kingdom was hospitalized after she was found lying in the yard unconscious with bruises about her body, particularly her head. Hospital officials have since confirmed that the woman has been discharged.
