[www.inewsguyana.com] – Five men charged with attempting to steal from a motor vehicle were today placed on $160,000 bail each by Magistrate Ann McLennan.

Thirty – seven – year old Rolex Johnson of Grove, East Bank Demerara, 35 -year – old Leroy Lloyd of Bagotstown, 27 – year – old Kurt Kendall of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara, 47 – year – old Collin Goodrich of Mahaicony and 35 – year – old Chetram Suknandan of Grove Squatting area are all taxi drivers and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

It is alleged that on Monday, September 22 at Church Street, Georgetown, they attempted to steal from a vehicle – GMM 575 – owned Navindra Latchman.

Police Prosecutor Gordon Mansfield did not object to bail. The Court heard that Latchman withdrew money from a City Bank and subsequently parked on Church Street with the money in the vehicle.
