Caribbean Airlines brings the shoes that are donated to the Shoes that Grow/Kind Soles Project to Guyana from New York free of cost.  “I am very grateful for that kind of assistance…It’s a great example of Caribbean Airlines’ commitment as a corporate sponsor and donor,” she said.

Meanwhile, in an invited comment Mr. Tang said he met with the First Lady to assure her of his company’s continued support of the Kind Soles Project.

“We were also inquiring what other charities and [the First Lady spoke about] a number of charities with us that she is working on and we have said that we will look and see how we can assist further on other charities,” Mr. Tang said.

Caribbean Airlines Sales Representative – Guyana and Suriname, Mr. Dion Inniss, who has been collaborating with the First Lady on the Kind Soles Project, also attended the meeting.

The Shoes that Grow/Kind Soles Project was started by Mrs. Granger in collaboration with Mr. Ernie Ross, Guyana’s Consul General in Trinidad and Tobago as part of Rethink initiative. The shoes donated are distributed to children in Guyana’s hinterland region under President David Granger’s Boats, Buses, Bicycle plus Breakfast and Books (Five Bs’) programme. (GINA)

  1. Are you serious? An unelected, unappointed wife of a Head Of State opening discussions with a foreign company about commercial service?

OK, who do they send the cheque to, and in which tax-haven?

Does anybody else smell the stink?
