ESPN Caribbean to broadcast WI/New Zealand matches

[www.inewsguyana.com]Much to the delight of Caribbean Cricket fans, cable network ESPN has secured the exclusive broadcast rights to the remainder of the West Indies tour of New Zealand.

Through a publication on the West Indies Cricket Board, the company confirmed live, exclusive coverage of the West Indies tour of New Zealand from December 10 at 4:20 p.m. (ET) from Dunedin.

All matches will air live on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) – ESPN’s multi – screen live and on-demand broadband platform in the Caribbean.

West Indies will be engaging their hosts from December 2, 2013 until January 15, 2014 in three Tests and five One Day Internationals (ODIs).

The tour culminates with two Twenty20 (T20) fixtures which will serve as the precursor for the Windies’ title defence of the I.C.C. World Twenty20 trophy, which will be broadcast exclusively by ESPN Caribbean in March 2014.

A 16-man Test squad, led by Darren Sammy, has been announced, with the West Indies limited overs squad, captained by Dwayne Bravo, still to be named.
