[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty-six year-old Deon Alphonso King of Best Road, Vreed en Hoop, West Coast Demerara was this morning crushed to death by a garbage truck in Eccles East Bank Demerara.
iNews was informed that King who was working as a porter on a Puran’s Brother disposal truck was crushed by the wheel of the vehicle while giving directions to the driver.
According to his mother, Miriam Burk, she received a telephone call informing her of the tragedy and when she arrived she saw her son’s body with his intestines protruding on the roadway. 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle told iNews that King was directing the vehicle out of a street from the left rear end, when he (driver) was instructed to stop by another porter.
The driver said he did not feel the wheels roll over anything due to the weight in the vehicle.
