Missing: Leo Prince

A distressed sister is now appealing to members of the public to locate her missing 63-year-old sibling who reportedly walked out of her home in West Minster, Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara on Wednesday last and never returned.

Missing is Leo Prince of lot 977 of the above mentioned address.

Based on information received, Prince – who is neither married nor has children- was diagnosed by medical officials at the Georgetown Public Hospital six years ago as “mentally ill.”

This, the doctors said, was as a result of Prince’s abuse of alcohol among other factors.

On the morning of Wednesday last, the missing man’s sister said she left home, leaving him in the care of her daughter who would usually ensure he eats breakfast before attending classes at the University of Guyana.

However, while the young lady was inside of the home, neighbours indicated that at around 10:30hrs, they saw Prince walk out of the yard.

Since then, there has been no sight of the elderly man.

Prince’s sister explained to INews that sometime in July, her brother had wandered away in a similar manner, but he had returned home early the following morning.

She recalled that he told her he had forgotten his way home, and had to ask persons along the roadway to assist him.

Prince’s four siblings have expressed worry for their brother’s safety.

Anyone with information leading to the man’s whereabouts is asked to contact his sister, Gladys Prince on 638-9748 or 638-9219 or the nearest police station.
