Education Ministry partners with local organisation to tackle social problems

IMG_6705[www.inewsguyana.com] – Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand recently held a meeting with representatives from The Caribbean Voice (TCV) to discuss suicide and other related issues.

The Minister indicated that partnerships are necessary if social problems are to be effectively addressed. The group was commended for coming together to address common issues and for their commitment to addressing social problems.

Caribbean Voice will be sponsoring an essay contest for all primary and secondary schools for the 2014/15 school year.

The Caribbean Voice delegation comprised of:

Mr. Rayon Mantoos – member, TCV

Ms Carol Mancey – Strategic Partner with TCV – American University

  1. ah hole pile of crap….how to stop one from killing self?? can they really? if de gurl want de boy and she say she killing she self if parents try stop she..will Priya Manickchand and these ladies stop her? the old folks call it jumbie..oh jumbie hold that gal this gal de ada gal…its nothing to do wid jumbie…its called raging hormones in humans..how come jumbie dont hold man…these people sit around and talk trash with tax payers money.. get parents to trust…trust their kids..trust that they wont do anything out of the way when they go out –alone…geeee people let the kids date…dont beat the crap out of them if parents dont like the boy/gal…
    trust that kids know right from wrong based on what you teach them at home..
