[www.inewsguyana.com] – Odinga Chase of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was today remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine – Beharry on a robbery under arms charge.

He was not required to plead to the charges, one of which alleged that on September 10, at North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, being armed with a gun he robbed Sheniza Dass of one Generator valued $350,000 property of Shawn Archibald.

It is also alleged that he robbed Dass of $30,000 on the same day.

Police Prosecutor Micheal Grant objected to bail on the grounds of the nature, gravity and prevalence of the offense and the fact that the defendant has been charged with attempted murder.

Bail was refused and the matter transferred before Magistrate Judy Latchman on November 28.
