[www.inewsguyana.com] – Chief Executive Officer of Demerara Bank Limited Pravinchandra Dave on Saturday (May 03) announced that the Bank is eyeing the establishment two other branches across the country.
Dave was at the time addressing persons who gathered for the Company’s ‘Drive for Life’ promotion which was launched at the Diamond, East Bank Demerara Branch.
The Bank is offering persons easy accesses loans at a higher ceiling and lower interest rates as it realised that two of the most wanted things by Guyanese are houses and cars.
“Don’t believe you will take the money and don’t pay because we will hunt you down like wild dogs,” the Chairman told prospective borrowers of the Bank. The promotion runs up to the last day of June. [Leroy Smith]
Hunt you down like wild dogs! Very offensive to prospective customers. this is the twenty first century we don’t hunt humans any more there are civilise ways to recover money from delinquent borrowers.
We have no respect for one another in this country that is why we would make such comment.
Mr. Persaud will now become a dog hunter. In any civilized society, the rule of law must be followed when one fail to pay his debts.
