The Ministry of Education wishes to advise that the CAPE & CSEC fees refund announced by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, will begin from July 14, 2025.
WHO WILL BE REIMBURSED?
All candidates who sat the CAPE and CSEC Examinations in May/June 2025 according to the following:
- Candidates of Public Schools
- Candidates of Private Schools
- Private Candidates
CATEGORIES FOR REIMBURSEMENT:
- Candidates who paid full fees (those who did not receive subsidy) will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 8 subjects.
- Candidates who received subsidy will be reimbursed whatever their parent’s contribution was up to a maximum of 8 subjects.
WHAT IS NEEDED?
- National ID card/Passport/Driver’s License OR Identification by a senior official in your community such as the school’s principal or village Toshao.
- Authorization letter for parents who will not be around. Note that a copy of the parent’s ID must be attached.
The ministry has since published the full list of schedules for each region on its social media pages.
