Crum-Ewing shot three times in head; twice to the body -PME reveals

[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Post Mortem Examination (PME) results of Political Activist Courtney Crum-Ewing has revealed that he was shot five times, including three times to the head.

The results also revealed that he was shot point blank range from behind his neck and one from under his arm pit which exited above his shoulder.

Two war heads have been recovered from the head of the deceased and gun powered residue was found on the collar at the back of the shirt he was wearing when he was gunned down.

The 40 – year –old father of three was gunned down execution style on Tuesday evening (March 10) while urging members of Diamond Housing Scheme to go out and cast their ballots on May 11.

Police confirmed that Crum – Ewing was walking in Third Street, Diamond at approximately 20:00hrs when a car with four men drove up and discharged several shots at him, hitting him in the head and other parts of the body.

The men escaped and Crum – Ewing’s lifeless body remained on the roadway, while his loud speaker was found some two feet away. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Diamond hospital.

iNews understands that at the time of his death, the popular protester, known for being outside the office of the Attorney General, was making public announcements calling on citizens to go out and vote.

Meanwhile, Crime Chief Leslie James told reporters on Thursday that after reviewing Closes Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of the shooting, they have not been able to identify anyone.

During an interview with iNews on December 23, 2014 Crum – Ewing had expressed fear for his life following the burglary of his Pit Bull bus.

For several months, the former soldier protested peacefully in front the office of Anil Nandlall, calling for him to resign, following the revelation of a taped telephone conversation between Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister, Anil Nandlall and Kaieteur News’ Reporter, Leonard Gildarie.
