Coverden accident victims identified

[www.inewguyana.com] – The two persons who died following an accident at Coverden, East Bank Demerara earlier today, have been identified as 49 – year – old Rohini Durga, of Grove East Bank Demerara and 72 – year – old George Madulall, of Timehri East Bank Demerara.

The driver of the car has been identified as 62 – year – old George Durga, also of Grove. iNews understands that he is in a critical condition at a City hospital.

iNews had reported that the driver of car may have fallen asleep while driving and careened into the path of the oncoming traffic on Thursday, November 26, 2015.

The car – a white Spacio – collided with a truck that was driving in the opposite direction. The body of Madulall was in the front passenger seat and hung over the dashboard of the car while what appears to be a broken bone protruded from his left arm.

Durga’s body was in the back seat, slumped over. Their bodies had to be extracted by the Guyana Fire Service.
