Corentyne man allegedly killed by step-son – following row over music

A Corentyne man is now dead after he and his step-son got into in an argument over music at Bloom Field Village in Corentyne, Berbice.

Dead is Nipaul Seenauth, 42, of Lot 380 Bloom Field Village. He was allegedly chopped twice by his 33-year-old step-son, who was arrested and taken into custody moments after Seenauth died.

Reports are that around 02:00hrs Monday, several family members were in the kitchen of their Bloom Field home imbibing, when the misunderstanding over music occurred and Seenauth was chopped twice to his head.
The injured man was rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital where he later died.
Police were able to retrieve the murder weapon.
