Cops still to apprehend suspect in Linden execution-style killing; autopsy shows victim was shot 7 times

, who was killed execution-style on Monday evening, was shot seven times about the body, a Post Mortem Examination (PME) has confirmed.

The PME was performed on the body of the 43-year-old clothes vendor by Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday. Dr Singh gave the cause of death as multiple gunshot injuries.

Meanwhile, Police continue to hunt a lone suspect in the shooting death of the father of 8.

Chapman, also called “G”, of Lot 130 Half Mile, Wismar, Linden, was shot and killed just after 18:00h as he sat in front of his yard chatting with a friend.

According to Police, at the time of the incident, the father of eight was seated outside his yard on a bench underneath a shed in the company of a male friend when the lone gunman approached them and discharged several rounds in his direction. The friend managed to dash to safety. At the time of the incident, Chapman’s common-law wife and their children were inside the house; however, no one else was injured.

When Police arrived at the scene, the body of the clothes vendor was examined and multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso were visible. He was transported to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigations are continuing.
