The off-duty Policeman who crashed his minibus on Regent Street, Georgetown, last Saturday, injuring several persons and causing the death of another, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Tuesday, charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Timothy Horatio, 26, of Three Stone, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on August 27, 2016, at Regent Street, Georgetown, he drove motor vehicle BTT 7994 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Dillon Linton, 21, of Campbellville, Georgetown.
The defendant was remanded to prison and will make his next appearance in court on September 9.
