Construction Worker remanded on Simple Larceny, Narcotics charges

 

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Construction Worker of Lethem was yesterday remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on simple larceny and possession of narcotics charges.

Allen Cartel pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on October 29 at Saint Ignatius, Central Rupununi, he stole one bicycle valued $45,000, property of Richard Gomes.

It is also alleged that on October 29 at Saint Ignatius, he had in his possession 4 grammes of Marijuana.

Bail was refused and the matter was transferred to the Lethem Magistrate’s Court for December 1.
