Construction worker accused of threatening to kill man granted bail

A construction worker appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer two charges, namely threatening behaviour and assault.

Twenty – nine – year old Richard Green of 15 Durban Backlands, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the offenses which he allegedly committed against Damion McKenzie.

The allegations state that on July 18 at Durban Backlands, the accused was armed with a cutlass and threatened to kill the complainant. Richard Green was placed on $40,000 bail for the offense of threatening behaviour and $30,000 bail for the assault charge. Both men were also bonded to keep the peace with their next court appearance set for July 31. [Royan Abrams]
