[www.inewsguyana.com]Guyanese Clive Lloyd has joined the American Cricket Federation (ACF)’s Honorary Advisory Board.

They announced recently that the legendary West Indies captain had joined their cause. This latest announcement comes just two days after the ACF announced that Michael Holding, Ian Chappell, Alvin Kallicharran, Damien Martyn, Nathan Bracken, Stuart MacGill and Niall O’Brien had joined the advisory board.

“As someone who has always taken a keen interest in the success of cricket in the United States, it gives me great pleasure to see the positive developments coming from the American Cricket Federation. The ACF’s leadership and its member leagues point the way to a brighter future, and I am happy to give them my full support, and to join its Honorary Advisory Board,” Lloyd is quoted as saying in the ACF release.

Under Lloyd’s leadership, the West Indies appeared in three consecutive World Cup finals, winning twice. The ACF anticipates that Lloyd will bring this same winning attitude to the ACF Honorary Advisory Board, the release noted.

“The ACF couldn’t be more excited to have someone of Clive Lloyd’s stature on the Honorary Advisory Board,” said CEO Jamie Harrison.
