[www.inewsguyana.com] – Charges of discharging a loaded firearm and assault were today dismissed against Maurice Prince after the complainants stated that they no longer wish to proceed with the matter.

During his earlier Court appearance before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Prince was released on $110,000 bail after pleading not guilty to both charges.

The Court heard that on November 15, 2013 at the Botanical Gardens, Georgetown, he discharged a loaded firearm at Colin Primus, with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or to cause him grievous bodily harm.

Prince also pleaded not guilty to the charge that said on the same day at the Botanical Gardens, he unlawfully assaulted Eon Primus.
