The Caribbean Court of Justice has thrown out government’s submission that a majority of 65 is 34.

President Justice Adrian Saunders noted that a majority of all elected members of Guyana’s National Assembly is clearly 33.

Government had argued that 34 votes were needed to pass the no-confidence motion submitted by Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo.
