[www.inewsguyana.com] – Canadian High Commissioner, Dr. Nicole Giles paid a courtesy call on the Leader of the Opposition, David Granger where she reaffirmed her country’s commitment to programmes related to her government and the government of Guyana.
Also present in the meeting on October 31 were Members of Parliament, Ms. Deborah Backer, Mr. Joseph Harmon and Mr. Ronald Bulkan.
Among the issues discussed was the restructuring of the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Trade.
The High Commissioner informed the opposition team that as a consequence certain development programmes and departments were being merged. The two parties agreed to meet on a regular basis to discuss matters of mutual interest.
