[www.inewsguyana.com] – Anthony Paul of Middle Street Buxton, East Coast Demerara and his girlfriend, Shyann Persaud escaped death just after 22:00 hours last night [Sunday, August 24] when the vehicle that Paul was driving flipped several times before slamming into a concrete fence on the Industry public road.

iNews arrived on the scene shortly after the accident and was informed by eyewitnesses that the two were heading West along the East Coast Demerara Carriageway, when a dog reportedly entered the path of the vehicle.

The young man, who acquired his driver’s license in May of this year, attempted to swerve from the dog when lost control of the blue Toyota 192 PJJ 4622.

The vehicle ended up in a semi vertical position, forcing both of the occupants to climb their way to safety. There were no visible lacerations on neither of them.

Paul refused to speak with iNews when he was approached for a comment however; this news entity learned that the vehicle which is registered to one Indrapaul Doodnaught was rented by Paul.

The police were informed and traffic ranks arrived at the scene and invited the two occupants of the vehicle down to the Sparendaam Police Station where statements were taken.

In addition to the damage to the fence, there was also extensive damage to the vehicle.
