www.inewsguyana.com] – Despite promises to turn himself over to police, the man who stabbed a 31- year – old Bus Driver to death late Thursday evening (July 31), remains at large.
Yesterday, a relative had promised that they would turn the young man, who is also said to have sustained injuries, over to police.
However, a police source confirmed with iNews this morning that the suspect is yet to be arrested. Checks were made at the man’s mother premises but police came up empty handed.
According to police reports, about 17:45 hours on Thursday Gavin Fiffee of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara was involved in an argument with a man at the Plaisance Bus Park, Regent Street, Georgetown during which he was stabbed to his chest.
Fiffee succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at the Georgetown Public hospital. His attacker has been identified as ‘Orin’ of Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara.
Fiffee had objected to the man urinating on his bus when an argument ensued which later escalated to a brawl. He was stabbed to his upper right chest.
