Two brothers were killed after the vehicle in which they were travelling collided yesterday with a truck along the Friendship, East Bank Demerara, Public Road.
Dead are Jonnel Armstrong, 23, and Phillip Armstrong, 21, of Watooka, Mackenzie, Linden.
They were the sons of Regional Health Officer of Region 10, Dr Pansy Armstrong.
INews understands that the fatal accident occurred around 01:45hrs yesterday. Another friend of the duo is said to be critical at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.Traffic Chief, Dion Moore has confirmed that the accident involved a truck and a Rav4. The Rav4, that the young men were travelling in, was heading south and the truck was heading in the opposite direction.
The deceased were identified as Jonnel Armstrong, an Aeronautical Engineer and Phillip Armstrong, a medical student.
