According to information received by this news outfit, the unexpected breakthrough in the almost four-year-old case came when a woman went to  a Police station on the West Coast of Demerara yesterday to make a report about domestic violence against her by her spouse. While speaking to the police, the woman reportedly divulge that the man she is making the report against is a ‘killer’ and the police should question him about the 2012 murder of the businesswoman and her sons. When police swoop down and arrest the 31-year-old man, he reportedly confessed under interrogation to the brutal murders.

INews understands that the man reportedly confessed to slitting the throats of the woman and her two sons. Reports indicated that the man broke into the house to rob the businesswoman, but she woke up and saw him in the house. He told the police that after realising that the woman recognised him, he decided to carry out the heinous  act.

The bloodied bodies of the woman and her two sons were later found at her Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara home. But police could not find who the killer was, until this lucky breakthrough in the case. INews will bring you more details as they become available.
