The body of a young man was discovered last night around 20:30h along the Goedverwagting Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara (ECD) with what is suspected to be stab wounds.
He has been identified as 19-year-old Sherwin Lynch of Sparendaam Housing Scheme, ECD.
Police ranks are presently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Lynch whose body is at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) awaiting a Post Mortem Examination (PME).
