Billions budgeted to extend Ogle-Eccles Highway & Heroes Highway

The sum of $13 billion has been budgeted to extend the Ogle to Eccles Highway onwards to Providence and Diamond on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).

This was disclosed by Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh.

He said an additional $28.6 billion was allocated to continue the Heroes Highway from Buzz Bee Dam to Land of Canaan; this highway will extend eventually to the Soesdyke to Linden Highway.

Additionally, $8.4 billion was set side to continue the upgrade of the Good Success to Timehri Road on the EBD while $13.1 billion was allotted to advance works on the Soesdyke to Linden Highway.
