[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Best of the Best Martial Arts School had an excellent showing at the recently held Guyana Mix Martial Arts Association tournament at the National Gymnasium.

The club had eight competitors participate at the event with most bagging medals at the competition.

In the six and under category Todd Miguel Hunte took first place in the freestyle kata while finihsng second in the in weapons.

Club mate, Cledwin Adams took the second spot in the under six category of the freestyle kata while finishing third in kumate.

The 7-9 category saw Roshanna Christopher placing first in weapons kata as well as first in freestyle Kata.

Kimberly Baveghems finished second in freestyle kata in the 7-9 category while Colwin Adams finished second in the freestyle kata 12-15 category.

In the 16-19 category, Azhar Shaw finished second in both weapons kata and kumate while Trenton Coates finished first in the 16-19 black belts’ weapons kata and third in kumate.

Meanwhile Grand Master and Founder of the club, Quacuy Baveghems will lead his club to the Harpy Eagle International Martial Arts tournament on April 5 set for the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as six other countries expected to participate.
