Bermuda woman hospitalized at GPHC after ingesting cocaine

cocaine[www.inewsguyana.com] – A female citizen of Bermuda was arrested on Saturday, January 24 arrested by ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport after she was suspected of having ingested narcotics.

She has been admitted under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and has so far passed out a number of pellets that contained a total of 392 grams of cocaine.

The unnamed woman remains at the hospital as investigations continue.

I am a former resident of Bermuda (having immigrated there from St. Kitts as a child), reading the online Bermuda Royal Gazette which directed readers to this Guiana newspaper site … for a fuller account of that woman arrested for transporting narcotics inside her person. I just thought, “What a miracle modern communication is!” and the thought made me smile.
