Albertown resident accused of abusing sister – in – law

An Albertown man was today placed on $25,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer an abusive language charge.

Forty – two – year old James Vandahai pleaded not guilty to the offence which he allegedly committed against his sister – in – law Melissa Wilson on July 29 at 6th Street Albertown.

The virtual complainant told the Court that the accused is very disrespectful and on several occasions he accused her of working “obeah” and called her a prostitute.

Meanwhile, the brother of the virtual complainant was also in court to answer a threatening language charge. Twenty – Seven – year old Jason Wilson of 6th Street Albertown, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to the offence which alleged that on July 29 at Albertown, Wilson threatened to kill his step brother James Vandahai. Jason Wilson was placed on $30,000 bail. Both men were bonded to keep the peace and will return to court on August 05. [Royan Abrams]
