Freedom House employee, Jason Abdulla, who was arrested for questioning into “two serious offences” claimed that he was beaten by investigators to release information about the ongoing investigation into the execution-style killing of Courtney Crum-Ewing, but the Crime Chief is saying this was not the case.

INews understands that the detainee who had bandage to one of his feet was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital but after waiting a while, it was reported that the X-RAY Machine was not functional. As such, he was taken to the Woodlands Hospital where an examination and X-RAY were done.

According to Crime Chief, Wendell Blanhum, the doctor who examined Abdulla reported that there were no signs to verify the story told by the detainee. He told INews that the man decided to place the bandage in an attempt to give the impression that he was beaten.

However, the Crime Chief added that they have approached the High Court for an Extension to detain Jason Abdulla and Sean Hinds since the detention period had expired.

Kwame McCoy who was taken into police custody on Wednesday evening also remains in custody as the investigations continue.

However, in a bizarre twist of events, the PPP/C activists have allegedly confessed to dumping a container of faeces at Government-aligned newspaper columnist and political commentator, Freddie Kissoon which happened six years ago.

According to reports received, the men confessed to carrying out the act with McCoy being the intellectual author behind the attack.

There are also reports that the men may have been tortured and forced to make a confession.
