[www.inewsguyana.com]Works at the Albion Community Centre Ground lighting project are ahead of schedule, according to the engineer responsible,  Deoraj Dalchand.

During a briefing on Monday, January 27 Dalchand said that to date, they have completed in excess of 90 percent of the civil works on the venue.

These works he noted include the construction of concrete bases which will house the six towers that will soon provide lights to the Berbice ground.

According to Dalchand, when these are completed in the coming days, they will look to begin the execution of the actual laying of wiring which will be done by Cummings Electrical under the guidance of United States Based Moscow lighting.

Meanwhile, in his remarks Sport Minister, Dr Frank Anthony said that the county of Berbice needs to have a similar facility to the one at the National Stadium in Providence and as such Albion, overtime will be groomed to that.
