[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 68 year-old man of Lot 122 Old Road, Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara was remanded to prison on a drug trafficking charge.
Arthur Manget made his appearance before Chief Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Particulars of charge said that on April 13 at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri, he had in his possession 9.670 Kilogrammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The Prosecution’s findings were not presented to the court and the matter was transferred before Magistrate Fabayo Azore for April 30.
