[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 4 – year-old boy was on Saturday, April 04 killed after a route 45 minibus drove over him on Water Street, Georgetown. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 hrs.
According to information reaching iNews, Elijah Andrews of Queen Street, South Cummingsburg [Tiger Bay] ran out of the Giftland store after purchasing a kite into the path of the minibus, which was proceeding north along Water Street.
The driver, Paul John of North Sophia only realized what occurred when he drove over the toddler. With a bus filled with passengers, John immediately rushed Andrews to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
