3 years jail for man busted with cocaine at Haslington house

cocaine[www.inewsguyana.com] – Fifty – eight – year old Randolph Moore was sentenced to three years imprisonment on Friday, November 20 for the offense of trafficking narcotics.

A police report detailed that at about 11:30 hrs on November 20, Police conducted a search on the house of Moore at Haslington New Scheme, East Coast Demerara, during which 11 grams of cocaine were found.

He was charged with trafficking in narcotics and appeared before Magistrate Alicia George at the Vigilance Magistrate Court.

According to the police report, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined $30,000.

  1. Do the authorities attempt to trace the sources from whom and where the criminals caught with cocaine obtain it? Eliciting such information may be valuable in identifying the distributors and or origin of the illegally manufactured drug. Such information will allow the government to identify the real criminals and go after them.
