A 14-year-old boy was on Wednesday slapped with a wounding charge after he allegedly attacked a 19-year-old man and stabbed him some 10 times about his body.
The teen of Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD) denied that he attacked and attempted to rob Kenroy Chance, on March 29, 2018 at Croal Street, Georgetown.
According to reports, the Virtual Complainant (VC) was walking on the said street when he was allegedly attacked by the youth who demanded that he hand over his valuables.
The VC refused which allegedly prompted the defendant to pick up a bottle, hitting Chance to his head. He then further attacked the man and stabbed him until he fell before making good his escape.
The matter was reported and the 14-year-old was arrested and later charged.
He was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 and will return to Court on August 8, 2018.
