$100,000 bail for Soesdyke man accused of fraud

[www.inewsguyana.com]Forty – year – old Lloyd Thomas, a businessman of Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara, charged with fraud was ordered to post $100,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence which alleged that on August 26 at Matthews Ridge, in the North West District, with intent to defraud, he falsely obtained the sum of $800,000 from Anthony Dalgetty, for the sale of motor car PKK 1987, by falsely pretending that he was in possession for sale.

Police Prosecutor, Michael Grant did not object to bail. Attorney – at – Law, Leslie Sobers represented the defendant. The case was transferred to Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court for April 1.
