Mohammed Feroze Ali of Lot 35 Lusignan, East Coast Demerara, pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that between March 1 and 31, 2013 in Georgetown, with intent to defraud he obtained the sum of $23,496,800 from Ashrad Ali, by pretending that he was in position to construct a 900 X 25 feet iron shed, knowing same to be false .
Ali’s Lawyer told the court that his client was placed on $20,000 station bail and is not a flight risk. Police Prosecutor Bharrat Mangru did not object to bail and the matter was adjourned to April 24.
