Flood 2[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana’s Hydromet Office has announced that Regions 1 to 6, 7 and some areas of region 10 can expect cloudy skies to become overcast at times with light to moderate showers and scattered thundershowers while other regions can expected partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers.

Rainfall is expected to range between 5.0 mm and 50.0 mm over regions 1 to 6, other regions can expect valves between 0.0 mm and 20.0 mm. South-easterly to north-easterly at 7 to 14 m/s. Gusting over some areas.

Above normal high tide is in effect until Thursday November 27, 2014.Residence of coastal, low lying and riverain areas are advised to take necessary precautions against possible flooding.

Saturday, Coastal and near inland regions can expect cloudy skies with frequent light to moderate showers and isolated thundershowers, other regions can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers Rainfall is expected to range between 0.0 mm and 40.0 mm. The highest rainfall is expected over coastal areas.

Sunday, mainly overcast skies can be expected throughout northern Guyana with intermittent rain, moderate showers and scattered thundershowers. Rainfall intensities are likely to be heavy and accompany by gusty winds at times. Southern Guyana can expect partly cloudy and sunny skies with a few passing showers. Rainfall is expected to range between 5.0 mm and 60.0mm over coastal and near inland areas, other areas values are likely to range between 0.0 mm and 20.0 mm.

Monday and Tuesday, all regions can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional showers. Afternoon thundershowers are likely over near inland areas. Rainfall is expected to range between 0.0 mm and 25.0 mm within a 24hrs period.
