DEAD: Pilot Colin Martin

An senior aviation official and close friend of Martin told INews late on Tuesday that the pilot was killed in the crash. When contacted, Chairman of the Roarima Group of Companies, Captain Gerry Gouveia was reportedly busy networking with his counterparts tracking information on the crash. Reports are that the pilot, who has been flying since 2012, crashed in the Eteringbang area sometime before 18:00h Tuesday.

INews  was told that there is no hospital in the area which would have proved difficult for the pilot to nurse his reported critical injuries had he been pulled alive.

Major Martin was said to have left the GDF in 2012 to pursue his career in flying with Roarima Airways.
