According to a source close to the investigation, Halley, who was earlier granted station bail, will be charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

The children were laid to rest on Sunday. Reports also indicate that Halley is still suffering from heart complications due to the shocking news of the children’s demise.

In the wee hours of September, 13, 2016, Halley, his wife , Michell Miguel and the two children, in the company of a friend – who is a member of the Guyana Police Force- identified only as “Carter”, were reportedly travelling to Parika, East Bank Essequibo, to pick up goods, when they slammed into two parked vehicles on the public road at Blankenburg, West Coast Demerara.

There are reports that Halley, who was the driver of the vehicle, swerved from a dog which resulted in him losing control of the vehicle. It is also alleged that he was speeding at the time of the accident.
