UPDATE: Autopsy shows Sophia man died as a result of punctured lung

The post-mortem examination conducted on the body of 49-year-old Trevor Dublin which was found on the “C” Field Sophia Access Road, Greater Georgetown on Saturday evening revealed that he died as a result of his lung being punctured.

Inews had previously reported that Dublin of Sophia, Greater Georgetown- who was a serviceman employed with BK International- was found dead with a single stab wound to his left side chest at around 22:15hrs last Saturday while ranks were on mobile patrol.

At the time his body was found, Dublin was clad in a dark-coloured shirt and blue jeans.

The 5′ 8″ man was also wearing a pair of black long boots.

Investigators also found a knife and a toque in close proximity to his body.

Thus far police have identified a suspect- said to be a resident of “E” Field Sophia- who is assisting with investigations.

The suspect was reportedly in close proximity when police came across Dublin’s body and investigators believe that he may have something to do with or know something about Dublin’s murder.
