Two shot as Revenue Collector robbed of $2M

Crime scene[www.inewsguyana.com] – At about 18:15 hrs on Monday November 30, 2015, revenue collector Euril Lowenfield was being escorted by City Constable Aaron Henderson on Regent Street and Orange Walk, Georgetown, when they were attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

According to a police report, the armed man shot Henderson to his right foot and the perpetrators took away two bags containing $2M from Lowenfield and escaped on a motorcycle along Orange Walk.

While escaping, the armed man discharged several rounds, one of which struck bystander Savitree Singh, 43 years, to her left foot. They both have been admitted to the GPHC and investigations are in progress.
