A taxi driver attached to the Green Ice Taxi Service was on Wednesday morning remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to a wounding charge.
Trevor Hacker, 36, of Albouystown, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman.
It is alleged that on August 20, 2016 at Georgetown, Hacker unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Kelvin Wills.
The prosecution is contending that on the day of the incident, the two men who both work for the same taxi service were arguing over a customer.
According to the prosecution, as the argument escalated, the defendant picked up a stone and a Guinness bottle and dealt the Virtual Complainant (VC) two blows to his face.
Hacker was remanded. The case will continue on September 7.
