[www.inewsguyana.com] –Thirty – year – old Mohamed Iftikar Osman, known as ‘Amin’ died on Monday night (August 31) after being trapped under a Bell Loader Machine he was operating at the Rose Hall Estate.
iNews understands that Osman of Cane Field Settlement, Canje was on the job at the Estate when the incident occurred at 19:30 hrs. Reports reaching iNews revealed that the man was crossing a makeshift bridge from one field to another when it collapsed, resulting in the machine toppling in a nearby canal, pinning him inside.
He was rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Osman leaves to mourn his wife, two children, parents and siblings. iNews understands that he would have celebrated his birthday on Friday, September 04.
