Guyana-rainforest[www.inewsguyana.com] – Longstanding aviation professional Captain Geral Gouveia was among a search party that combed the jungle for the Roraima Drone which lost signal and went missing approximately four hours ago, Gouveia has told iNews.

Reports are that the drone was being flown over and around the Arrow Point Nature Resort using a remote. It was eventually found on top of a tree, Gouveia confirmed.

“It’s a flying recon drone with a camera,” he explained.

While there has been no official report from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), Gouveia says the drone lost all signal with satellites.

There were ground teams  scouting the jungle floor and tree tops.

“The search is intense… we are following every lead. Talking to persons living in the jungle,” he said prior to the Drone being found.

The drone was being used in recent time to take several overhead shots of the capital city, new infrastructural projects and other site seeing missions.
