“ResPect the Game” fulfills promise

unnamed (2)[ww.inewsguyana.com] – On Thursday December 18,  ResPect the Game Inc. a newly formed company comprising four friends; Edison Jefford, Rawle Toney, Compton Babb and James Bond made a substantial donation to the Mahaica Girls Home. Respect the Game Inc. came into being as a result of the need of the founders to find innovative and new ways to help the less fortunate and under privileged.

The Company held a Basketball Event on December 13th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and using its unique blend of Sportainment fused Chow Pow Ryan Hoppie Kwasi Ace the reigning soca monarch Calvin Burnett with fifteen First Division Basketball Players names such as Akeem the Dream Khanai Ryan Gullen Ryan Stehpney Stephan Gillis Rodwell Fortune Royston Siland Tyrone Hamid Travis Burnett added to that Bobby Adelson of the US Embassy Kean Andrews female Basketball National player, Cardella Hamilton Miss Guyana Universe contestant 2013, Nuriyyih Gerrard of 94.1FM Faizal Khan Football Agent and Director of Sambora Communications Inc Javed Ally of Slingerz,  Purnell Cummings the Marketing Manager at Courts Guyana Inc., Attorney at Law Roger Yearwood, Lugard Mohan former National Basketball Captain and many more were included in this Sportainment mix. It was promised by ResPect the Game Inc that monies raised would all be given to Charity and that promise was honored on Thursday last.

Ms. Nuriyyih Gerrard MVP for the Basketball Event had nominated the Mahaica Girls Home as the Charity she would like to be beneficiaries of ResPect The Game Inc. efforts and accompanied by Directors Surika Danraj Hermon Liverpool and James Bond made the presentation to Ms. Patricia December the Matron at the Home.

Ms. Gerrard gave the girls a moving and inspirational talk after which the girls sang for the ResPect the Game Inc visitors and they were even serenaded in return by Mr. James Bond.

ResPect the Game Inc aims to continue setting an example for other young persons to get into the spirit of volunteerism and service.

Other future events involving other sporting disciplines are planned for 2015.
